Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 7 October 2026

In one paragraph

Links on this site to the Crossout website are paid affiliate links. If you follow one and then register, confirm your email address and log in to the game, KUSIV s.r.o. earns a commission, paid by the affiliate network that operates the link. You pay nothing for this. The commission pays for the site; it doesn't decide what the site says.

How the arrangement works

KUSIV s.r.o., which publishes Bright Idea, has joined an affiliate programme run by an affiliate network. The network gives us a link that leads to the Crossout website. Your click passes through the network first, which records that you came from us, and then takes you to the vendor's site.

We're paid when a reader who arrived through our link creates an account, confirms their email address and logs in to the game. We're not paid simply for a click, and our pay doesn't depend on whether you buy anything inside the game.

What it costs you

Nothing. Registering through our link costs the same as going to the vendor's site directly. The commission is paid to us by the affiliate network, not added to anything you pay.

Where you'll see affiliate links

Every affiliate link on this site is a clearly labelled button reading "Visit the Crossout website", and each has a line beside it saying it's a paid link. The link address is the network's real address; it isn't disguised or routed through a page on this site. It's also marked in the page code as sponsored, which is how search engines are told a link is paid.

Links to government websites, such as the ACCC or eSafety, are ordinary links. Nobody pays us for them.

What the commission does and doesn't influence

It's honest to say the commission influences one thing: it's the reason Crossout is the product this site describes. We say that openly on our About page.

It doesn't influence the order of topics, which follows the questions a reader needs answered, starting with whether a game will run on their computer and what it may ask them to pay for. It doesn't influence our guidance on spending, account safety or families, which applies to any game. And it doesn't let us say things about Crossout that we can't back up. Product claims come only from the vendor's summary and the offer terms; where something isn't stated, such as system requirements or classification, we say so and tell you where to check.

Neither the vendor nor the network reviews or approves our pages before they're published.

How we decide what to cover

In short: coverage is limited to a product we have a commercial relationship with, and we say so, rather than claiming to survey the whole market. The general guidance is written to be useful even if you choose a different game. The full explanation is in How we decide what to cover on our About page.

Trademarks

Product names, logos and brands mentioned here, including Crossout, belong to their owners. Apart from the paid affiliate arrangement explained in our Affiliate Disclosure, Bright Idea has no affiliation with, endorsement from or sponsorship by any of them.
