Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This website, brightidea.online, is published by KUSIV s.r.o., Kolovratská 58/1, Strašnice, 100 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic, company number 08791171, VAT number CZ08791171. KUSIV s.r.o. is responsible for personal information handled through the site. You can reach us at info@brightidea.online.

2. The rules we follow

KUSIV s.r.o. handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Because KUSIV s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, we also apply the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, as section 19 explains.

3. What this policy covers

This policy covers brightidea.online only. When you follow a link to another website, including the affiliate link to the Crossout website at https://price-low.eu/a/73PqKhW7nLTR1Yj, you leave this site and that website's own privacy policy applies.

4. What is collected: the complete list

There are three ways personal information reaches us or our service providers. That is all of them.

(a) Access logs. When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider's servers record your IP address, the date and time, the address of the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your browser's user-agent string (a short description of the browser and operating system).

(b) Email you send us. If you write to info@brightidea.online, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, your message and any attachments. What goes in the email is your choice.

(c) Font requests. The site's typefaces are delivered by Google Fonts. When your browser fetches the font stylesheet and font files, Google receives your IP address, along with the standard details any browser request carries.

(d) Nothing else. The site has no forms, no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no tracking of you across other websites.

5. Staying anonymous

You can read every page on this site without telling us who you are. If you email us, you're welcome to use a pseudonym or an address that doesn't identify you. The one exception is a request to access or correct personal information, where we may need to confirm that the information is yours before acting on it.

6. Why we handle each kind of information

• Access logs are used to keep the site secure, to spot and block abuse such as automated attacks, and to diagnose faults when something breaks.
• Email is used to read and answer your enquiry, and for nothing else.
• Font requests happen so that your browser can display the site in its chosen typefaces.

7. How long each kind is kept

• Access logs: 30 days, then deleted.
• Email: 24 months after the last message in the conversation, then deleted, unless we need to keep a message longer to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
• Font requests: handled under Google's own retention practices, which KUSIV s.r.o. does not control. See Google's Privacy Policy.

8. How information is used and disclosed

We use personal information only for the purposes in section 6. We never sell, rent or trade it, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing. We disclose it to a government authority or court only where the law requires us to.

9. Direct marketing

We don't do any. If you email us, your address is used only to reply to that email. There is no mailing list or newsletter, and we won't add you to one.

10. Who else receives information

Three service providers handle information on our behalf or as part of delivering the site:

• our hosting provider, which stores the access logs;
• our email service provider, which hosts the info@brightidea.online mailbox;
• Google, which receives font requests.

No other organisation receives personal information from this site. None of these providers receives data from this site for advertising purposes.

11. Information stored outside Australia

Our hosting provider and our email service provider may store or process data outside Australia. Google may process font requests in the United States and other countries. By using these services, personal information described in section 4 may be disclosed to recipients in those places.

12. Affiliate links

When you click a link to Crossout, you leave brightidea.online. The Crossout website, and the affiliate network that operates the link, may use their own cookies or similar technology on their own websites to record that your visit came from Bright Idea. They do this under their own privacy policies, not this one. KUSIV s.r.o. receives commission reports from the affiliate network that operates the link, uses them only to reconcile payments, and does not seek or use information that identifies individual readers.

13. Security

Every page is served over HTTPS. The site has no database and stores no form data, because there are no forms. Access to the hosting account and to the mailbox is limited to people working for KUSIV s.r.o..

14. Keeping information accurate

If information we hold from your emails is wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll correct it.

15. Seeing and correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email info@brightidea.online with "Privacy request" in the subject line. Asking costs nothing. We'll respond within 30 days. If we need to confirm your identity, we'll ask for no more than is necessary.

16. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, email info@brightidea.online first and explain what happened. KUSIV s.r.o. will reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

17. Data breaches

If a data breach likely to cause serious harm occurs, KUSIV s.r.o. will assess it promptly and notify affected people and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

18. Children

This site is not directed at people under 16, and nothing on it is designed to identify them.

19. Readers in the EU, EEA and UK

Because KUSIV s.r.o. is based in the Czech Republic, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to our handling of personal information. The legal bases we rely on are:

• for access logs, our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and working;
• for email, taking the steps needed to respond to the enquiry you've sent;
• for font requests, our legitimate interest in displaying the site as designed.

We don't rely on consent for anything, because no cookies are set and nothing is collected that would need it.

You have the right to access your personal information, to have it rectified, to have it erased, to restrict how it's processed, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To use any of these rights, email info@brightidea.online. You also have the right to complain to the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or to the authority where you live.

20. Changes to this policy

When we revise this policy, the effective date at the top changes. If a change is material, we'll also note it at the top of this page for 30 days.
